‘Strike Site’

‘Strike Site’ was an exhibition curated by Sacha Craddock which attempted to stage a site that mirrored the contradictory but nonetheless palpable sense of the temporary that comes with an exhibition of art. Craddock was keen that the temporary nature of the Gallery exhibition managed to allude to the actual, to where settlement and control produce an equal and palpable sense of insecurity. Previously supported and exhibited at Pi Artworks London, this second manifestation worked closely with the Nottingham Refugee Forum to explore notions of displacement, movement, freedom, and barriers.
